Sura Kahf

📖 ( Surah Kahf ) - Its been a weekly routine for us to recite Surah Kahf every Friday.

Have we ever wondered why Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam asked us to recite Surah Kahf every Friday?

Or is there any prefence for this surah over the rest of the 113 surahs? What's the benefit of reciting this weekly?

Lets check it out-

First of all, in this Surah Allah gives to us 4 different stories!

Lets explore each along with the lessons we get from each of them....

🔘1."The people of the cave"

It’s the story of young men who lived in a disbelieving town, so they decide to migrate for the sake of Allah and run away. Allah rewards them with mercy in the cave and protection from the elements of nature.

The lesson of this story is the 'Trial of Faith'❗

🔘2. "The owner of two gardens."

A story of a man whom Allah blessed with two beautiful gardens, but the man forgot to thank the One who blessed him with everything and he even dared to doubt Allah regarding the afterlife. So his garden was destroyed – he regretted it, but was too late and his regret did not benefit him.

Lesson of this story:

'Trial of wealth'❗

🔘3. "Musa (A.S) and Khidr (A.S)"

When Musa (A.S)was asked “Who is the most knowledgeable of the people of Earth?” Musa (A.S) said that it was him as he assumed he was the only prophet on Earth at the time. But Allah revealed to him that there’s someone who knows more than him about certain things. Musa (A.S) traveled looking for him and learned how divine wisdom can sometimes be hidden in matters which we perceive as bad.

And Lesson of this story:

'Trial of knowledge'❗

And now to the FINAL one, its somewhat GLOBAL,

🔘4. "Dhul-Qarnyne"

Allah mentions the story of a great king who was given knowledge and power travelling the world helping people and spreading all that’s good. He was able to overcome the problem of Yajooj-Majooj by building a massive dam with the help of people whom he could not even understand.

Lesson of this story:

'Trial of power'❗

Allah Reveals  to us 4 kind of stories relating 4 kinds of trials that WE ALL pass by in our day to day lives!

Now have a look through HADITH to learn more about this surah....

🔖In many hadith, the messenger of Allah peace be upon him mentions that the one who reads and memorises verses of Surah Al Kahf will be protected from the trials of the Dajjal!

❔ NOW, why this Surah?

❔ What is the relation between SURAH KAHF and DAJJAL??

The Answer is simple...

Dajjal will appear before the day of judgement with 4 trials:

🔘A) He will ask people to worship him and not Allah: Trial of faith!

🔘B) He will be given powers to start/stop rain and tempt people with his wealth:

Trial of wealth!

🔘C) He will tempt people with "knowledge” and news he gives them: Trial of knowledge!

D) He will control huge parts of the Earth:

Trial of power!

In shaa Allah now when you recite Surah Kahf, you understand and appreciate its benefits!!!

Recite..

با رك الله فيكم

Think

Think of Others By Mahmoud Darwish As you prepare your breakfast, think of others  (do not forget the pigeon’s food). As you conduct your wars, think of others  (do not forget those who seek peace). As you pay your water bill, think of others  (those who are nursed by clouds). As you return home, to your home, think of others  (do not forget the people of the camps). As you sleep and count the stars, think of others  (those who have nowhere to sleep). As you liberate yourself in metaphor, think of others  (those who have lost the right to speak). As you think of others far away, think of yourself  (say: “If only I were a candle in the dark”). This poem serves as a poignant reminder to remain conscious of the struggles faced by others, even amidst our daily routines. Darwish’s work often reflects themes of displacement, longing, and human connection.
